Research

Current research topics
  • Influence of biological regulations of the causes and conditions that influence gaseous emissions, heat production and changes in phase or speciation: nature of the causal variables, relative influence of the variables as a function of the process, environment and scale.
  • Optimization of animal production for food or non-food uses: minimization of solid, liquid and gaseous pollution by maximizing the recycling of by-products; minimization of energy, water and nutrient inputs at the farm scale (modelling).
  • Development of measurement methods to quantify gaseous and PM emissions from livestock buildings and manure-management facilities.
Current projects
  • GHG Manage: Managing and reporting greenhouse gas emissions and carbon sequestration in various landscape mosaics. (ERAGAS)
  • MELS: Mitigating greenhouse gas emissions from livestock systems (ERAGAS)
  • PAPOVIT: Quantitative estimation of particle emission factors from swine and poultry houses (CASDAR)
  • TEMPORALIS: Temperature reduction in pig houses to decrease ammonia emissions (ADEME CORTEA)
  • DATAMAN: Establishment of a database on greenhouse gas emissions from manure for refinement of national inventories (GRA)
