Current research topic

My research topic is assessment and design of two different cropping systems (CS): Forage crops associated with animal production (low diversity and excess organic fertilisation) and Open-field vegetables (high diversity and insufficient organic fertilisation).

The objectives of my research are to:

  • acquire and integrate knowledge on the CS practiced to identify their diversity, complexity and typologies in their contexts
  • identify the objectives, constraints (agronomic, environmental, regulatory and economic) and strategies adopted by stakeholders associated with these CS in their landscape
  • perform multi-criteria assessment of impacts of CS
  • define critical points and antagonisms among the criteria used to assess these systems
  • use all of this knowledge to co-design management scenarios for cropping practices at the CS scale and transfer the results to the landscape scale.
Current projects
  • Proterr: Optimizing integration of organic waste products into cropping systems as a mechanism for ecosystem services provided by soils at the territorial scale (2018-2021)
  • MethaPolsol: Territorial anaerobic digestion strategies to manage climate change, diffuse nitrogen pollution and improve soil quality (2016-2019)
  • CRESEB: Economic and environmental assessment of the transition to input-efficient production systems in the catchments of the Blavet River (2017-2020)
