Research activities

Current context

My research focuses on hydrology, specifically hydrogeology, the study of groundwater. Using hydro(geo)logical numerical models, the simulations of the water cycle at the scale of headwaters in watersheds allow to better understand the water transfers in the territories. These tools are useful to represent the dominant processes driving water quantity and quality dynamics, such as groundwater flow and the associated nutrient transport (carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus). In parallel, field data allow to both improve our understanding of the hydrological functioning of the studied system and better constrain the models. Using climatic, agricultural, and land-use scenarios, the developed models are used to explore and to integrate potential future trajectories, integrating both direct and indirect effects of climate change on water resources.
